Holiday Gift Guide: Glo Wubble Bubble Ball Review
We received a Glo Wubble Ball with a pump for review. My husband and I decided the perfect day to break it out would be Thanksgiving. Fortunately, it was GORGEOUS out, so the 5 cousins were outside playing all day/night.
After dinner, we broke this bad boy out. My almost-7 year old was so excited! She exclaimed “We have one just like on the tv!” Ha!
We needed 4 D batteries for the pump to work. Be sure to read the instructions well, my hubby didn’t and put the lubricant on the pump nozzle instead of in the hole of the Wubble. Fortunately, my sister has a lot of patience and cleaned it out and then the pump worked like a charm, blowing the 3ft giant ball up.
It’s a really cool texture. Not a typical ball, it’s more squishy and malleable. I think that’s what the big appeal was to the 3 year old’s, they could squish it as well as play catch with it.
Lesson for others though, you can NOT do a cannonball on the Wubble, it will break. 🙁 My 3-year old nephew dove right on top of the ball, therefore ending its short lifespan. But before he did that, the kids had a blast playing with it outside, at one point they even tossed it onto the trampoline with them! I think those giggles were heard by all of the neighbors for at least 30 minutes, nonstop!
My girls had a great time with it, so it’s now made it onto their Santa Wishlist. And seeing as Target and Toys R Us sell it (2 VERY frequented stores in our family), I suspect it’s a request that will definitely be fulfilled, *wink *wink.
