mybestfit™ size-matching service helps King of Prussia Mall Shoppers find what fits.
The King of Prussia Mall announces the opening of mybestfit™, a body scanning technology designed to help shoppers find the clothing brands that are best suited for their body type. The free service scans customers in about 10 seconds and produces a personalized shopping guide based on their exact measurements.
About mybestfit
mybestfit is a free shopping service that uses the only 3D whole-body scanner that measures a fully-clothed individual using safe, low-power radio waves. In less than 10 minutes, customers are scanned, size-matched, and have a Shopping Guide of what fits and looks good on them. Unique Solutions Design Ltd. has developed innovative fit solutions and technologies since 1994 with a focus on individual body size and shape. The company holds the largest database of body measurements in the world. The mybestfit technology was developed to combat the frustration customers experience when trying to determine their size across a variety of brands that lack sizing standards. Consumer research confirms that shoppers’ biggest barrier to trying new brands is the uncertainty of size and fit. The mybestfit shopping service aims to revolutionize the retail industry by increasing sales and eliminating costly returns.
“MyBestFit will make shopping for apparel fast and easy. Previous short-term installation of the concept resulted in increased sales for participating brands of 20%, an increased number of garments purchased from 1.3 to 3.6 garments, and a significant reduction in returns,” said Tanya Shaw, CEO of Unique Solutions, the company behind mybestfit. “Many people have three to five different sizes in their closet and more if their weight fluctuates. Size and fit is the single most important issue that keeps people from enjoying their shopping experience.”
The King of Prussia Mall is the first location nationwide for mybestfit. The company plans to roll the technology out at several shopping centers across the country in the next year. Located on the upper level of the Plaza, next to Sephora, the mybestfit kiosk is one of a handful of new retailers that has opened recently at King of Prussia Mall. Other new retailers include Tory Burch, Intimacy Bra, Soma Intimates and Tous, a retailer specializing in unique jewelry and accessories.
