Donate Blood – Get 2 One Day Tickets to Sesame Place!

So how does this sound? Do a good deed, receive something neat and fun in return as a thank you?

While this is not located right within Chester County, I know that many moms around here are fans of Sesame Place and this is such a great idea that I had to share!

On Sunday, October 17th, the Penn Jersey Region of the American Red Cross will be sponsoring both a regular blood drive (as well as platelet donation – click here to find out what this involves if you have never done it before) at Sesame Place in Langhorne. And in exchange for your life giving donation, you will receive a letter good for 2 single day admissions in 2011!

It’s a wonderful cause and having friends and family who have been on the receiving end of donations due to illness, I just cannot stress what an amazing gift blood donation truly is – and how generous Sesame Place is for supporting this effort by offering the tickets as a thank you.

If you are interested in participating, you will need to make an appointment ahead of time – simply go to this site and search on zip code 19047 for the Sesame Place event. (Please note that there are two events listed, one for routine blood donations, another for platelets – please be sure to choose the right one for you.)

I hope many local families will participate – let us know on the blog or Facebook if you schedule an appointment – I haven’t donated since having kids and while I am not faint of heart, I would prefer to have some company when I go!
