Winter Break: Looking for a last minute weekend plan?

My family is heading to the Gaylord Resort in National Harbor, Maryland (just outside of Washington DC) to have the most exciting winter experience!  We can’t wait!  The Gaylord has a 19 story atrium that apparently SNOWS!  My kids were over the moon when we revealed this family experience as one of their holiday gifts.  We’ll be enjoying the ICE! exhibit, featuring the beloved Grinch, as well as eating breakfast with the Grinch and Max!  It doesn’t stop there, we’ll be ice skating, going tubing down Reindeer Rush, and seeing the Cirque show.  The experiences that the Resort offers are endless!  And our family is looking forward to a 2 day, 1 night getaway to check it all out!

ICE! leaves after December 30th, so now is a great time to make the trip.  It’s less than 3-hours from our county so can easily be done in a day.  We chose to stay overnight to experience the Harbor attractions as well.

Stay tuned, next week we’ll give a full report.  From what I’ve read and learned from friends, there is TONS to do at the Gaylord and surrounding Harbor year-round!
