The National Dog Show is THIS WEEKEND! November 18-19, 2017

The National Dog Show is taking place at The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania on November 18, 2017 and November 19, 2017.

Purebred dogs from over 180 AKC-sanctioned breeds including many of America’s elite show dogs and their owners and handlers, will compete for ‘Best of Breed, ” “First in Group” and the ultimate title “Best in Show”

The National Dog Show competition is one of only three “benched” format shows in the United States. “Benched” format shows remain open to the public and the dogs are on display all day long so that attendees of all ages can see the dogs and meet their owners/handlers/breeders.

My family has attended this show for several years. My kids LOVE getting to pet the dogs and chat with the handlers.  We have really learned a lot about different dog breeds over the years. There is also a great vendor market! We always come home with fun new toys for our dogs and dog related trinkets for the humans.

The National Dog Show airs on Thanksgiving Day, Noon-2:00PM, following the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. If you can’t wait until then to find out which dog will win “Best in Show”, then make a plan to visit the National Dog Show THIS WEEKEND!
