How My Case of “Party Block” Was Cured!

You’ve heard of “writers block”, but have you heard of “party block”?  Yeah, me either, I just made it up.  I love birthday parties, LOVE celebrating my kids in big ways and letting them express their current interests.  I don’t love the planning and work though!  I’ve got no time for that Pinterest, shopping, cutting and pasting nonsense!!!  Who does?  Oh, I found someone who does, Carolyn Smith of Sweet Themes parties!!!!  I went to her with my woes and learned SO MUCH about how she can help make the perfect birthday party a complete cinch for the Already-Too-Busy-Gonna-Go-Crazy Mama!

What is “Sweet Themes – perfectly customized children’s parties” all about?  They specialize in children’s theme parties.  They have several themes on their website, but are happy to create any theme that your child could imagine.

While perusing their website you will see they do a lot of graphic work for the party.  That means I don’t have to search Etsy anymore, bam, another time saver!  They create custom graphic designs which therefore allows them to create unique custom printed invitations, evites, favor bags, banners, water bottles, food signs and more.  All centered around YOUR birthday child!

So when you have sent the invites and are about to have a room full of guests, now it’s time to muster up that energy and start entertaining your guests, right?  Nope!  Sweet Themes provide themed party entertainment. This includes themed party games, face painting and crafts. They also have a wide variety of classic characters, cartoon characters, princesses and superheroes.

Carolyn’s list of talents don’t end there.  As if I wasn’t already impressed, I then learned that she paints theme backdrops for room décor and photo backdrops, herself! These include princess castles, superhero cityscapes and more. She has also painted character cutouts for unique photo opportunities.  Talent… ahhhh.

If you aren’t sure what sort of help you want, or in my case, control you want to relinquish (eh hum, I know I’m not alone with this issue), check out their site.  Carolyn has created party packages that include every detail, invitations, favor bags, decorations, entertainment, pizza cupcakes and paper goods, or just a few of the details to alleviate some of the struggle. A parent can choose from one of the packages or create their own based on what your need is.

Once you’ve hired Sweet Themes, sit back and let them do the work for and WITH you.  They’ll even provide theme balloons and paper goods!  If you aren’t certain of a location, they’ll help you find the perfect venue!  They are located in West Chester so are Chesco residents themselves (Woot Woot!) but will travel up to 30 miles to get to your party location!

But wait my friends, I have saved the very best part for last.  Sweet Themes is also responsible for the set
up and clean up!  This CRUCIAL part is included in all party packages.   They will take care of every detail.  As Carolyn told me, “Our goal is for parents to host their child’s party at home or at the location of their choice and be able to enjoy the event.
