Backpack recommendation: HABA’s Wildlife Mini Backpack
My 2.5 year old would not take the bag off. Partially because it was clipped to her chest and so the shoulders wouldn’t slip off of her little body. And, partially because she is obsessed with being able to wear a backpack like her big sisters!
The Lassig Wildlife preschoolers backpack is a sturdy, sensible, and adorable bag for the little ones in your life. The bag measures 9×11 inches and is made of polyester. With 6 animal print/color variations, there’s sure to be on that your youngster will adore: Elephant, Turtle, Birdie, Tiger, Giraffe, and Rhino.
Whether they are heading off to school, or going on their first big adventure, your little one will love carrying their very own backpack! Features include roomy main zipper pocket, handle, adjustable shoulder straps, and chest strap. I personally loved the chest strap addition as most preschooler sized backpacks forget this feature. It not only helps the little one support whatever is on their back, but it helps them keep the bag ON, a major goal! With walking around the airport, park, or house, my daughter can’t help but remove the backpack and want to put it back on (I suppose that’s the joy in wearing something that seems like a step toward independence). This chest strap avoids all of that extra hassle and frustration… on both of our parts!

All materials used to manufacture Lassig bags are free of PVC, AZO, Phthalates, Nickel and Cadmium. Here’s the super awesome part about purchasing a HABA bag: for every product purchased from the Wildlife Collection, Lassig will donate a portion to support the Momella Foundation and two of their conservation projects: the Big Cat Guardians and the Sparkling Elephant Project, which aim to enhance creativity while educating and creating awareness for endangered wildlife species throughout Tanzania. As someone who has lived in Tanzania for a month and loves wildlife, this foundation and cause is so special to me! LOVE this company even more now!
Disclaimer: Lassig and Susan Gerson Public Relations mailed me a dinosaur backpack to test out and keep, in exchange for this review. All opinions in here are my own and honest!
