Trendsetters Salon, Keratin Treatment Before and After Photos

A few weeks ago on the Chesco Mom Facebook page, we were chatting about Keratin treatments. I have naturally curly hair, but I don’t have good curls, so I asked if anyone with hair like mine has tried the treatment. I have frizzy, needs LOTS of product to control curls. I prefer my hair straight so I flat iron it. It can take up to an hour. I always feel more put together when my hair is done. Even if I am rocking my Mom “uniform” of yoga pants and a stained/ripped/backwards (it happens) t-shirt. I always feel better when my hair is done. BUT…an hour to flat iron? Who has time for that? Not, I! There are days that I, can’t fit in a shower let alone an hour to flat iron my hair. So crunchy, curly, frizzy hair has been my “style” lately.

Enter – Trendsetters Salon in Exton. My neighbors recently purchased this salon and in an act of neighborhood solidarity, I liked the Trendsetters Salon Facebook Page and wished them Good Luck on their new venture. Then a few days later this awesomeness popped up in my Facebook feed. 

It was fate! I made my appointment online (super easy and convenient) and anxiously awaited “Keratin Day!” I am pretty sure everyone I know, knew that I made the appointment and how excited I was to say good bye to my crazy curls.

Today was the day!  I went to Trendsetters Salon, without any product in my hair. My hair looked like straw. It was gross, but all of that was about to change. The whole Keratin treatment process took about 90 minutes.No harsh smells. Below is my before and after photo.  

I didn’t do color today, the Keratin treatment brought my dull, fading color back to life. My Stylist, Lou DeCola, shaped up the back of my hair so I didn’t have a “ledge”, other than that, no major cut.  I can’t believe I have waited SO long to have this treatment done. During the appointment, I just kept ooo’ing and ahhh’ing. My hair is super smooth and I am in love! LOVE!!!!
