Young Soccer Stars Show Skills to Win 3D Dreams

School started for many local children this week, and we can only imagine how those tired parents all over the Greater Philadelphia Region are feeling. As our kids were oversleeping, crowding bus stops and preparing for a brand new year, we were bracing for that time of year which demands a load of energy, countless carpools and a ton of orange slices – the brand new soccer season. To kick off the 2011 season, Verizon FiOS has launched its Play of the Week contest to search for young soccer players whose talents, personalities and wow-factors have made them stars!

We’re sure every single parent out there thinks their kid has what it takes to make it big and here is your chance to finally prove it! When you upload a home video, your child’s shining moment can be seen by thousands! And now, it is easier than ever to share your little superstar’s talent with friends and family on Facebook and Twitter. We’re sure grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends would jump at the chance to help make your child a local celebrity!

This week, the first winner was selected. That means you still have nine more chances to make your child a star! The prizes are awesome, too. Each weekly winning video will be posted to the Philadelphia Union website and its Facebook and Twitter pages, to Verizon FiOS Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association’s (EPYSA) website. Each weekly winner will also receive a Union jersey autographed by Forward Danny Mwanga! Once all 10 winners are selected, a Grand Prize Winner will be chosen on November 19, and will win a 55" 3D TV!
