Win It Wednesday ..... Just Dance Kids for Wii Review and Giveaway

The other day I was so excited as I opened the mail to find that a review copy of the just released Just Dance Kids (available at Amazon.com). I had heard a great deal about the release of the game and was looking forward to seeing if would become a family favorite in our Wii game arsenal.

I have to say that the Wii Gaming System
was one of the best investments we've ever made. It's a great way to enjoy interactive family fun right in the comfort of our basement play area! We routinely challenge each other to family Wii nights and I really enjoy the laughs and memories we've created together playing games requiring a variety of physical and mental abilities and skill levels.

I was thrilled that both of my daughters (ages 5.5 and 3) were just as excited as I was to try out the game. We are all music and dance lovers in our house, so immediately to the basement we went. I was immediately impressed that they have music for younger kids and older on this game so my younger daughter could rock out to her favorite Yo Gabba Gabba tunes while my older daughter jammed to All Star and Who Let the Dogs Out.

We tried the game in all different modes, challenging each other, being teams, and even doing a dance party. It was so much fun to watch my girls dance together and have so much fun being creative and exercising all at the same time. My three year old would look over at me and say "Shake your Booty, Mama!" She was having a ball.

And, speaking of exercise, the best feature of the game in my opinion is the fact that you can monitor how much activity your kids have done with the game so you can see how much time they have played, calories they've burned, etc. I certainly am not advocating putting your kids on an exercise routine, however, as these cold, dark winter months roll in and outside activity becomes more limited, it's appealing to me to be able to track that my kids are indeed getting exercise, movement and activity .... all while listening to great music, having tons of fun, and laughing all the while!
