Meet ” This Mama Needs a Make Over” winner Colleen as we begin her day of pampering at Avante Salon & Spa in West Chester.

Colleen began her day with a relaxing manicure with Johanna, then cut and color with Emily and finally make up application with Jenny.

Emily was really great about taking the time to go over what style would work best for Colleen’s busy mom life. Emily is a mom herself and could really appreciate that since Colleen is a mom to four young children that really doesn’t have much time to style and fool around with her hair everyday – she needed something simple yet trendy. Emily gave Colleen a super hip, easy to style hair cut and chose a color that was a shade lighter than Colleen’s natural color, and that would be easy to maintain once it started to grow out.

Jenny kept with the “keep it simple” theme of the day with the make up application. Colleen has beautiful skin so she didn’t need a lot of foundation. She also has beautiful blue eyes. So Jenny focused on her eyes and showed Colleen a few easy tips and tricks so she could apply make up quickly on her own.

Joining Colleen on her day of pampering was her sister. Her sister had never had a manicure before and as a special Mother’s Day present Colleen arranged for her to have a little R & R and enjoy a manicure with Johanna too.
