Thursday night, the 14th, I had the best Mommy-Daughter date night with my 9 year old! We went into the city and had dinner and then saw Disney Aladdin the Musical at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia.
Anyone who was there that night will tell you that acting was amazing, singing phenomenal, the set was unreal and costumes were over-the-top detailed! There were two technical difficulties during the presentation and both were handled so well. If anything, my daughter and I really appreciated the way the actors connected with the audience when the announcement came on and when they were back on stage. It’s amazing what a facial expression can say! We loved the reality in this magical, yet authentic, experience!
We highly recommend getting tickets to see this musical while it’s in town. Last show in Philadelphia is presented on July 1st. This is unlike anything I’ve seen in recent years and we’re still singing the songs several days later!
