I’ve been to The Kitchen Workshop a few times now and have fallen in love with Art and his business. My first visit was with a girlfriend for a fun Moms Afternoon Out! We had an absolute blast and I learned so much! I’ve loved the experience so much that I took my husband there for a date night. His exact words were “Only $64 per person? You can’t get a great lesson, amazingly good meal, leftovers, AND this comedy act for that price!” He‘s absolutely right. Art is H-I-LARIOUS! His dry sense of humor is dead on.
Art and I partnered up and he welcomed me to invite a mess of friends who haven’t experienced The Kitchen Workshop yet. So, on July 16th, 11 of us gathered around Art’s island to learn to make some amazing meals. The best part, no oven needed and only indoor cooking was for the pasta. The rest was either cooked on the grill or didn’t need cooking at all…. which is a FANTASTIC thing for summer meals!
We made each course, then dined, all while enjoying complimentary wine, iced tea, seltzer, and coffee. I needed a wheelbarrow to get to my car, I was so pleasantly full! And we all still packed up our take-home containers for leftovers! (Yes, bring about two containers when you go, it’s not rude, it’s the right thing to do!)
Art’s calendar has his already scheduled workshops. They fill up FAST, so when you find what works for your interests and availability, book it. Also, check his website frequently, on occasion he puts a discounted class up. The best part is, if Art has nothing scheduled and you have 10-12 members of an interested group, book a private party!
Our private party was an awesome gathering of 11 random ladies I know. We are all mothers, but some work full time, some stay home, some have preschoolers, some have grade school children, some have infants, some love to cook, some are scared of the kitchen, but ALL of us had an absolute blast. Since our party, I have made 2 of the recipes successfully on my own, my husband has been very appreciative.
My daughters love to cook with me. I love to be able to teach them about kitchen tool safety, the different ingredients we use, and to use the time together to just talk and bond. Art has parent-child workshops as well as drop-off CAMP for children ages 8 and up this summer! It’s not too late, there is still room these last few weeks of summer!
