Chester County Moms readers, please join me in giving support and helping to get the word out to the community and encourage participation in the Race on April 30th. Let’s work together to encourage schools, community groups and businesses to organize race teams to walk/run in memory of a lost parent or a child who has experienced loss. Together we can #givegriefwords and make sure no child grieves alone.
As previously mentioned, the 12th Annual Race for Traditions takes place on April 30, 2016 at Wellington Square in the Eagleview Town Center in Exton, Pennsylvania. This annual event joins together local families, corporations, schools, and community groups to celebrate the life and memory of loved ones we lost too soon.
The Annual Race for Traditions raises money and awareness of the need for support for children who have experienced the profound loss of a death of a parent.
This year, Family Lives On was proud to have been selected as an Eagles Care Partner and are looking
forward to all the extra excitement that Swoop, the Players and Cheerleaders will bring to the Race for
Traditions. The Race is more than just a 5K and 1 Mile run, it is a family event including games, music,
free breakfast, special guests, a Tot Trot and much more! Jennaphr Frederick of FOX 29 brings her burst of morning energy and continues her longstanding support by serving as the Race Marshall.
Online registration is available at www.familyliveson.org/race. Same day registration opens at 7:45am,
the race will begin at 9:00 am and the activities will end around 11:00 am.
If you are participating in the race, you can either run/walk individually or, better yet, form a team!
Sponsorship packages include race spots and opportunities to set-up a table or tent at the event to
promote your business.
