Lily is an adorable little Angel with a bright smile and an infectious laugh and has the ability to make the people around her laugh and smile around her. She has bright red hair and big blue eyes and pale skin much like that of an Angel. However, at the young age of 10 months old Lily was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome (AS), a neuro-genetic disorder affecting approximately 1 in 15,000 births. Often, a child with AS goes on misdiagnosed with cerebral palsy or autism.
A person with AS has severe developmental delays, speech difficulties, seizure disorders and more. And yet, they go on smiling. A cure has been found in mice for AS and Lily is 1 of the 24 chosen participants for the Minoocycline Human Clinical Trial in Tampa, FL. This could be life changing for Lily and her family and they need your help to get there. Please consider taking part in this 5K Run for Lily to support her and her family getting to Tampa!
