Bachelor Pad does it again. Summer trash TV that I just can’t stop watching. Seriously, I am so happy Bachelor Pad only airs for a short time during the summer, because if it were on the same airing schedule as American Idol or Dancing with the Stars, I really wouldn’t get anything done! As the show starts my best friend comes over and I am somehow glued to my seat (for an hour to three!) with a glass of wine and can not move until it is over.
Last week’s episode was the most dramatic rose ceremony in Bachelor Pad history, they even ended it with a rare never seen before cliff hanger. (somewhat) It was between Kasey and Jake to go home (if you don’t watch Jake chose Vienna on The Bachelor, they were engaged then had an insane/perfect for TV brake-up and now Vienna is dating Kasey, who is hard to understand but guards her heart). They called Kasey’s name and the screen went black. We screamed thinking it was our DVR, but it was the actual show, attempting a cliff hanger leaving people to make up their own assumptions. Would Jake flip out, drop kick Vienna, shake Kasey’s hand and ride into the sunset? Would Vienna confess her love for Jake, saying all of this was just a publicity stunt, leaving Kasey to have a confessional that none of us could understand? Would Kasey instead opt to leave in place of Jake, saying he had had enough of the two of them and was off to guard and protect the now single Jillian again?
Jake gave a little speech on his soapbox (which I actually agreed with) and then got in the limo and gave his weird little psychotic laugh that reminded us why he creeps us out and while we can’t stand Vienna, Jake is not much better.
Then there is the love triangle (or square if you were to ask Melissa) between Michael, Holly, Blake, and I guess…. Melissa? The Michael and Holly situation really makes my heart hurt, I feel bad for them and while you can tell they still love each other it does seem as if they are moving to a point of closure…? Holly is interested in Blake (as is Blake with Holly), except he kissed Melissa one night, she gave him a rose, and that meant he basically signed a deal with the devil. Blake decides to face the music (and a house of critics) and ask Holly on his date. They kiss and decide to spend the night. Melissa on one of her many rampages of the night tells Michael that Holly doesn’t care about him. Ugh! Just go home Melissa… oh wait…!
They also announced the new cast of Dancing with the Stars last night!! Each season I don’t think I will be into it, but yet somehow they bring in a star or two that really excites me!
Who are you excited to see?
Kristin Cavallari? (dancing with Mark Ballas)
David Arquette? (with the incredible Kym Johnson)
Nancy Grace? (with the new Tristan McManus)
Chaz Bono? (with my love Lacey Schwimmer)
Rob Kardashian? (dancing with Cheryl Burke!)
Ricki Lake (with the amazing Derek Hough)
& I’ll admit it, not too excited about Ron Artest….
oooh! & Maks?? (who cares what celeb he’s with, I’m always just excited to see him!)
