I have always been a huge sticker fan. Way back in the 80’s, I remember my precious sticker book filled with scratch-n-sniff and the beloved puffy stickers. As a kindergarten teacher, I give stickers for just about everything. Why not? They are cheap and kids love them.
As it turns out, toddlers love to stick and unstick stickers. My toddler enjoys peeling the stickers off of the paper just as much as putting them on the paper. For the trip, I have packed lots and lots of stickers that I found at the dollar store and local craft stores. It is WIN-WIN. The placing of the stickers and the eventual picking the stickers off. My plan is to let her place the stickers in a sticker book and when things get rough on the road, I will let her pick them off.
We have been busy decorating a shoebox as our book box for the road. Lots of coloring and lots of half torn stickers that have been through the toddler sticker process. I have a feeling that we will be decorating the book box again on the road.
