As we cruise through the many states on our way to our first stop, Missouri, I will be trying out my toddler’s first electronic toy, the Leap Frog Jr. Tag reading system. It is an expensive gamble, but I feel parental desperation in the future.
The Jr. Tag comes with one book and you can order more books for around $10. I have found Amazon.com to have the best prices for the additional books. The lil’ book pal reads to your toddler, tells your toddler words or facts about the book and more when it is placed on the book pages. It can even say your toddler’s name when it is interacting with your toddler.
To use the book pal, you upload the titles that you own onto the book pal.
My gut is telling me that my toddler might be a tad too young for this toy at the beginning of our trip. But with a month and half of travel, she might feel the same sense of desperation for entertainment that her mother feels as we attempt this voyage.
