I was in my local co-op volunteering and also purchasing items for the week and I noticed something really cool, a laundry detergent refill station. Say What??? Seriously, you can now buy your laundry soap in bulk! Sun and Earth has this really cool thing going on that is popping up all over. So when you grab your reusable grocery bags don’t forget the laundry container too so you can get that refill. If you forget yours don’t worry, Sun and Earth has their bottles that you can fill up.
I really loved the idea! Then I heard Sun and Earth was located not even 20 miles away in King of Prussia, I then thought it was REALLY cool. Not only am I purchasing a eco-friendly, all natural laundry soap that reduces waste and lessens the environmental impact, but I am also supporting a local company.
More and more we are hearing about why we should purchase products made in the US, I have to say we are pretty darn lucky to live in an area where we can get a good portion of our food from local farmers, we have access to Co-ops, CSA’s and farmer markets. It goes to show, when you get out there and explore your community you find the most interesting things about companies that are right in our backyard. What are your favorite local finds in the Delaware Valley?
