How is it that the concept of money is really not all that above children’s heads? JT learned at an early age that Daddy goes to work to ‘make the monies.’ She knows he works with computers, but I have a feeling that in her mind she thinks he physically makes the money (don’t I wish, lol)
The other night we were out and JT saw a vending machine with the crane and stuffed toys. She turned around and said to me, “Mommy, can you please make some money so I can play that?” I had to giggle, and then of course explain that just because she saw and wanted something doesn’t mean she gets it.
As I was talking to my husband about my upcoming piece for the blog he said that he forgot to tell me the really funny thing JT said last night. Apparently Daddy had some large bills in his hand and showed them to JT. To which she said, “When I get bigger, I can use that money to go SHOPPING!” Laughing, Daddy responded with, “Spoken like a true girl.”
Gotta love kids. Speaking of, JT’s little brother JW is about to turn 1 and he’s at a fun age, so expect some upcoming segments to include stories about him… and the various grunts he uses to communicate with us!
