Celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with fun activities featuring dinosaurs and their closest living relatives, birds. Enjoy teacher-naturalist presentations and live bird shows throughout the day and take in a talk by some well known paleontologists. Have your face painted to look just like your favorite “terrible lizard”. Make a dinosaur craft to take home.

“Limping, Sprinting, Hopping, Climbing or Walking with Dinosaurs”
Paleontologist Dr. Philip Manning, from the University of Manchester, will show how dinosaurs got from here to there.
Saturday, November 27, 1 pm
“The Greatest Dinosaur Show on Earth – Guess Where?”
Dr. Peter Dodson, a paleontologist from the University of Pennsylvania, will take a look at breathtaking dinosaur discoveries from China.
Sunday, November 28, 1 pm
“Building a Dinosaur from Scratch”
Jason Poole, paleo artist and manager of the Academy’s Fossil Prep Lab, demonstrates the transformation of a fossil to a fully fleshed-out dinosaur.
