Harvest is all around us! Leaves are littering streets, blowing color across sidewalks and front yards. Kids are excitedly picking out Halloween costumes, and dreaming about the candy they will collect with the simple question, “Trick? Or treat?” Adults are readying to step into the busy holiday season, pre-planning menus and picking up trinkets to dress up tables and shelves in the homes.
The Market is no different. Apples and pumpkins decorate tables and baskets. There is a purposeful bustle as more and more Market Goers arrive on Saturday mornings. They see what is in season, and begin to process ideas of how to turn this vegetable into a Thanksgiving side dish, or pick up apples to practice their pie-making skills.
It’s festive. And wonderful.
