Although we thought we had said good-bye to Summer, it seems to be hanging on for one last hurrah this week. Despite the heat and humidity (don’t worry, weather forecasters are promising for cooler temperatures in the near future), the West Chester Growers Market is confidently marching forward into the season of Autumn.
In evidence of this, Market Goers will begin seeing pumpkins for sale. Many ornamental squash and gourds have begun popping up, and as early as this week, we will see the familiar orange gourds in all shapes and sizes. As promised, I will be picking some smaller ones up in the next few weeks to make my own pumpkin puree (and sharing a how-to with you as well!).
This week will also begin our yearly Autumn contest. ::Click here to continue reading::
