Here is the first of several tips on how to make a digital scrapbook.
Tip #1 Organizing Your Photos
If you have printed photos, its time to pull out those shoe boxes, bags or storage bins. If they are digital I recommend Memory Manager to sort your digital photos. They will be imported into a timeline which this alone is an amazing feature. The time to do this is now!!! The kids are back in school. The holidays craze is still two months away. Take 45 minutes to an hour at a time to pull out some of your favorite pictures.
Sort your photos by person.
1. For instance, start by making a pile of photos for each child. This means any picture that was taken with your child in the picture. Create a separate pile of sibling pictures.
2. Next go back through what you did in step one and begin grouping together holiday pictures, birthday pictures, friends, parents, grandparents, activities and random single shots.
3. Finally, put the pictures in each group in chronological order if they aren’t already.
If organizing printed photos, a mini Power Sort Box which is made of Polypropylene would be a wise investment. The box keeps out dust and light. It also has three sections to help with organizing and grouping pictures along with 12 dividers.
As you put the groups in the new storage box, think about the story you want to tell. This is the order you should place the grouped pictures in the Power Sort Box.
